Your Role:

As a Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization and our clients' IT environments. Your responsibilities will include administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting security systems to ensure robust network security and protect against unauthorized access, alterations, or data loss.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with our clients, leveraging your exceptional relationship-building skills to foster trust and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and assess emerging cybersecurity threats and develop management strategies.
  • Evaluate and test security products for effectiveness.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement protective measures, including firewalls and encryption.
  • Investigate security alerts and incidents, providing timely incident response.
  • Document cybersecurity incidents and evaluate their impact.
  • Conduct regular scans to identify network vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and promote best practices for IT security across the organization.
  • Ensure that incidents and requests are addressed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Implement policies for network security, application security, access control, and data protection.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with PBS Systems clients.
  • Work towards achieving departmental and personal objectives set by management.
  • Stay informed about trends in information technology and security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Information Systems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to actively listen and establish trust.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with current information technology products, services, and security solutions.
  • Effective teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS/IPS technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server platforms including Windows 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows server roles such as Active Directory, Group Policies, Microsoft Azure, Networking, VLANs, VPNs, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Sentinel, and PowerShell Scripting.
  • Knowledge of SOC2 compliance framework is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the USA as needed; valid passport and/or US visa may be required.
