Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting security systems across our organization and our clients' IT infrastructures. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our networks against unauthorized access and potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess emerging cybersecurity threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Evaluate and test security products to ensure effectiveness.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement protective measures, including firewalls and encryption protocols.
  • Investigate security incidents and provide timely incident response.
  • Document cybersecurity incidents and evaluate their impact.
  • Conduct regular scans to identify network vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures for incident handling.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and data protection measures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Achieve departmental and personal performance goals as set by management.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in information technology and security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Information Systems.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with a focus on active listening and trust establishment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with current information technology products and security solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS/IPS technologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server platforms (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Active Directory and Group Policies.
    • Microsoft Azure.
    • Networking concepts, including VLANs and VPNs.
    • Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Microsoft 365.
    • Microsoft Sentinel.
    • PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of SOC2 compliance framework is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the USA as needed.
