Senior Civil Engineer Opportunity

This is a full-time role within a dynamic engineering firm focused on infrastructure development. The selected candidate will be a key player in managing projects for various public and private sector clients, including municipalities and educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client requirements and prepare cost estimates for civil engineering projects;
  • Gather necessary project data (existing designs, legal frameworks, surveys, and studies);
  • Develop designs for water distribution, sewage systems, and roadway infrastructure;
  • Perform hydraulic analysis and calculations;
  • Oversee the execution of urban infrastructure projects;
  • Create and interpret engineering plans and specifications;
  • Calculate project quantities and financial estimates;
  • Prepare applications for municipal permits and regulatory approvals;
  • Organize and supervise civil engineering activities;
  • Ensure compliance with construction standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred);
  • Licensed member of the Quebec Order of Engineers;
  • Experience in consulting engineering;
  • At least eight (8) years of expertise in infrastructure projects (sewer systems, water supply, and roadways);
  • Knowledge of effective stormwater management techniques;
  • Proficiency in drainage modeling software (SWMM) and water distribution systems (EPANET);
  • Understanding of regulations and standards for water supply and sewage systems;
  • Willingness to travel to various project locations;
  • Strong collaborative skills;
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid remote environment;
  • Eager to contribute to a team that values individual contributions and meets project timelines.
