Lead Civil Engineer

G Mining Services is a multidisciplinary company that provides professional services in the mining industry for underground and open pit mining projects in precious, base, or industrial metals.
Job Summary:The selected candidate will hold the position of Lead Structural Engineer, responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers in the execution of civil engineering works for mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee projects, ensuring the design, planning, and execution of work in accordance with the quality and safety standards of G Mining Services.
- Collaborate with various teams, clients, and different stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering and construction projects, including the development of schedules and budgets.
- Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for projects.
- Coordinate activities with other technical disciplines and external partners.
- Ensure that projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential problems.
- Provide mentoring and technical support to team members.
- Degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years civil engineering experience; experience in the mining industry is a strong asset.
- Experience in designing concrete and steel structures for heavy industry buildings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large and complex projects.
- Project management skills, including planning, cost control, and resource management.
- Experience in preparing and designing drawings of concrete and steel structures.
- Proficient with design and project management software (Revit, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
- Be able to communicate in French and/or English.
