JOB SUMMARY
As a Field Quality Assurance Technician at McIntosh Perry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and performance of construction projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct on-site evaluations of window systems, guard rails, and membrane installations for both new and existing structures;
- Stay informed about the latest testing protocols and industry standards;
- Assist in the compilation and preparation of comprehensive test reports;
- Manage the inventory of testing equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and calibration are performed;
- Provide daily updates regarding the testing schedules across various projects;
- Collect, analyze, and present performance data for investigative purposes;
- Travel to multiple job sites using a personal or company vehicle;
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency;
- Support the concrete laboratory with additional site testing and reporting as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Building/Construction Technology or a related discipline;
- Previous experience in field or laboratory testing of window and railing systems is advantageous;
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in construction environments is preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities;
- Proficient mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities;
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with current registration and insurance are mandatory due to the nature of fieldwork;
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required;
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
