Job Summary
Egis Canada is seeking a skilled Building Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing on-site window, guard rail systems, and membrane testing for new construction and existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform on-site testing for new construction and existing buildings;
- Review and stay up-to-date with testing standards and procedures;
- Provide assistance to the team in preparation of test reports;
- Maintain records of testing equipment inventory, coordinate scheduled maintenance and calibration as required;
- Report daily updates on the ongoing testing schedule for all projects;
- Gather, analyze, and report meaningful performance data for various investigations;
- Drive to various site locations with own or company vehicle;
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives;
- Assist the concrete lab with reporting or supplemental site testing and reviews as may be required.
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field - Building/Construction Technology, or a construction-related discipline;
- Experience with field or lab testing of window and railing systems would be considered an asset;
- Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects would be considered an asset;
- Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Possession of a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance is required as the position requires field work;
- Must be able to lift/move heavy equipment;
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
