Field Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Technician to join our team as a Building Quality Assurance Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our construction projects by conducting on-site testing and inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform on-site testing and inspections for window, guard rail systems, and membrane testing for new construction and existing buildings.
- Review and stay up-to-date with testing standards and procedures.
- Provide assistance to the team in preparing test reports.
- Maintain records of testing equipment inventory and coordinate scheduled maintenance and calibration as required.
- Report daily updates on the ongoing testing schedule for all projects.
- Gather, analyze, and report meaningful performance data for various investigations.
- Drive to various site locations with a company vehicle.
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist the concrete lab with reporting or supplemental site testing and reviews as may be required.
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field, such as Building/Construction Technology or a construction-related discipline.
- Experience with field or lab testing of window and railing systems would be considered an asset.
- Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects would be considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance is required.
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
