About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Maven Consulting. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects related to utilities and municipal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
  • Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure alignment with client requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Identify and execute activities required to obtain relevant regulatory and/or external approvals/permits
  • Manage the competitive procurement process and once awarded, contract administration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, business, or economics
  • Licensed as a professional engineer in the province of British Columbia & a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • A minimum of 7 – 10+ years of consulting experience in project management on municipal infrastructure projects
  • Extensive technical expertise and experience with the delivery and management of utility and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to lead projects and make decisions independently, while collaborating with a project team
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English
  • Good knowledge of finance and procurement sufficient to provide technical coordination and input
  • Excellent use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Project Management tools such as MS Project

Compensation:

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Based on the requirements set out below, we are seeking an individual in the median of the salary range $90,000 – $125,000.
