Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Closing the Gap Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and independent Personal Support Worker to provide excellent and empathetic care to our clients in the community.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care, respite services, and assistance with activities of daily living to our clients. You will work independently in the community, but will have the support and guidance of our Client Services Supervisor and team of healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to clients
  • Deliver respite services to clients and their families
  • Work independently in the community, with support from our team
  • Develop respectful working relationships with clients and families to meet their care needs
  • Exemplify skills in delivering high-quality customer experiences
  • Meet the physical and emotional demands of the role
Requirements:
  • A Personal Support Worker or Equivalent Certificate from a recognized institution
  • Nursing students with at least 1 year of completed education
  • Internationally trained Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Midwife or Physician, Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Social Worker, Dietician
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and Canadian Driver's license
  • Eligible to work in Canada
