About the Role

Ainsworth, a subsidiary of GDI, is seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Ainsworth in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Read, interpret, and create technical drawings and specifications.
  • Install and maintain air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.
  • Overhaul and service HVAC and refrigeration units.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Install and repair motors, thermostats, and humidistats.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned apprentices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern equipment and regulations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Valid Certificate of Qualification.
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and hazards in the trade.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
