Job SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis, will be responsible for financial planning and analysis, the development and presentation of financial models, and variance tracking for the Procurement revenue portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a business partner to the Strategic Procurement team, providing financial guidance and support to Management.
- Responsible for financial planning for the Procurement team (budget, forecast, and long-range plan).
- Develop, maintain, and communicate periodic variance analyses.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate periodic financial dashboards with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide risk and operations analyses and proactively partner with management to govern them.
- Present financial performance and dashboards to management.
- Develop cost analysis by activities and partner with the business in managing cost efficiency.
- Develop financial models to support management on an ad hoc basis.
- Work closely with the accounting and operational team to ensure expenses are coded in the right General Ledger (GL) and are aligned with plan.
- Support or lead special projects as needed.
- Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. An MBA with a Finance background will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strategic, innovative, proactive thinker with a desire to work in a changing environment.
- Strong analytical background, organized, and autonomous.
- Ability to challenge the status quo with strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
- Bilingualism and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrates expertise in business analysis and financial modeling.
- Flexible attitude and approach to business solutions with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (predominantly Excel and PowerPoint).
- The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English.
