We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at Douglas College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our Human Resources department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives to support the College's goals and objectives.
- Provide senior-level advice and guidance to leaders on human resources, employee, and labour relations matters.
- Lead contingency planning in the event of labour disruption, including the creation of essential service plans.
- Oversee and direct the strategic and operational requirements of the Human Resources department.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to a team of human resources professionals.
- Established professional credibility with a post-secondary degree in a related discipline and a CPHR designation.
- A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible HR/labour relations experience in a complex unionized environment.
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to work independently to deliver high-quality work in a demanding environment.
- Solid project management skills, including experience with developing, leading, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of human resources projects and procedures.
