Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Custom Framing Specialist to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while creating memorable framing solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their framing needs and preferences.
  • Provide expert advice on framing solutions, including custom framing, matting, and glazing.
  • Operate framing equipment, including glass cutters and heat presses, to ensure high-quality framing results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas.
  • Support sales and production goals by delivering excellent customer service and promoting framing solutions.
  • Assist with truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutters.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy boxes and frames, and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience.
  • Experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses.
