Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Risk Underwriter to join our team at Starr Technical Risks Canada Inc.. This role is essential in evaluating and managing insurance applications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Compensation and Employment Terms
  • Salary: $110,000 to $140,000 annually (negotiable)

  • Completion of College/CEGEP
Experience

Minimum of 5 years in the insurance sector is required. The role requires presence at the workplace; remote work is not an option.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess individual and group insurance applications
  • Analyze new and renewal applications to ascertain risks, premiums, coverage extent, and other conditions
  • Utilize medical reports, rate tables, and other documentation for coverage determination
  • Authorize the sale of insurance policies
  • Ensure adherence to governmental regulations
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and internal personnel
