Catering Service Specialist

The role of the Banquet Server is crucial to the overall success of our establishment. This position is responsible for the efficient arrangement of meeting spaces for all Food & Beverage events on the banquet floor, as well as serving meals to our esteemed guests. Maintaining a positive and collaborative work atmosphere within the Banquet Team while upholding high standards of customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare rooms in accordance with banquet event specifications
  • Ensure that all food and beverage presentations align with Coast Hotels' standards for quality and consistency
  • Comply with provincial liquor control regulations
  • Foster a cooperative and positive team environment at all times
  • Exhibit professionalism and respect
  • Commit to safe work practices, including adherence to food safety guidelines and cleanliness
  • Follow food service directives from the Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager
  • Perform additional duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Serving It Right Certification or equivalent is required
  • Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended
  • Self-driven team player with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on prioritization
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Embodies Coast's core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
