Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. in Burlington. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a positive and welcoming experience. You will be responsible for managing patient check-ins, departures, and inquiries, as well as scheduling and confirming patient appointments and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service and ensure a positive experience for all patients and visitors.
  • Manage patient check-ins, departures, and inquiries, responding to phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-ups, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Accurately register patients by obtaining complete demographics, insurance information, and consent.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed per check-in protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide and gather information, enabling patient requirements to be dealt with efficiently.
  • Complete MRI bookings administration tasks, including confirmations, chart checks, and phone calls.
Requirements
  • 1 year of medical office experience.
  • Cardiology practice and clinic experience is an asset.
  • Education/diploma in medical office administration.
  • Demonstrated high-quality, compassionate, customer-centered experience.
  • Proven ability to work proficiently and independently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish priorities and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior telephone etiquette.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in technology, including MS Office and EMR systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of privacy and diplomacy.
