Senior Claims Recovery Specialist

Zurich Canada is in search of a Senior Claims Recovery Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with assessing legal accountability and proactively pursuing, negotiating, and settling subrogation collections. Your responsibilities will also include liaising with insured parties, witnesses, legal representatives, and underwriters to gather and disseminate essential information while managing multi-line and multi-jurisdictional claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage effectively with insured individuals, claimants, principals, agents, witnesses, and legal counsel.
  • Identify and capitalize on business prospects by sourcing and implementing innovative resources.
  • Examine bonds, financial records, invoices, and other pertinent materials during the investigative process.
  • Collaborate with various teams to optimize the utilization of available resources.
  • Draft reports summarizing investigative outcomes and propose suitable actions.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance sector, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with commercial lines insurance.

Desirable:

  • Over 5 years of experience in the Subrogation Insurance sector.
  • Strong negotiation, verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
