About the Role

The Senior Associate, Contracts will play a critical role in influencing successful business outcomes, achieving key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new and continuing programs. This individual will protect the company's interests by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions, utilizing working knowledge of regulations, including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements, and other agency regulations.

The ideal candidate will analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures. Key responsibilities will include managing the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process, and overall contract administration.

Additionally, the Senior Associate, Contracts will support departmental productivity improvement activities by leveraging Sharepoint and ERP skills, and various databases. This will involve coordinating the acceptance of new contracts/purchase orders, completing customer acknowledgements, and supporting contract acceptance negotiations as required.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulations for Government procurements, financial and business risks related to terms and conditions, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organization skills, and attention to detail. They will also be able to handle multiple tasks, effectively balance priorities to meet deadlines, and possess a team player attitude with a high sense of urgency to respond to time-sensitive issues.

Desired qualifications include experience in Contracts or Subcontracts management involving Government contracts, practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience, and working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software (Infor or SAP preferred) or related computer skills. Experience with TeamCentre for document management and a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience are also preferred.
