Job Title: Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

Shared Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support, including supervision, guidance, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting patient dignity and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course preferred.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
