About the Role

Mazergroup is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and diagnose the extent of repair required.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Train and Mentor: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Document and Record: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing.
  • Test and Validate: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and performs as expected.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy duty mechanics, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate, and a valid driver's licence.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
