Risk Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Analyst to join our Risk Advisory team in Montreal. As a Risk Control Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in managing and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Consultant in preparing and producing risk reports, including underwriting reports, risk assessments, and recommendation reports.
- Conduct property site surveys at client facilities to identify potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Perform loss estimates calculations to help clients understand potential financial impacts of risks.
- Develop and maintain risk control templates and documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Support brokers in the placement process by providing information on risk exposures and insurer subjectivities.
- Advise clients on risk exposures and control measures to help them make informed decisions.
- Support research and development practice on technical issues and considerations.
- Support building valuation practice to ensure accurate assessments of property values.
- Bachelor or college degree in engineering, fire protection/prevention, or applied science diploma.
- 1 year experience in industrial site inspections, risk control, and/or fire protection is a strong asset.
- Knowledge in building construction and related codes, and building mechanics, an asset.
- Good analysis skills, problem solver to help clients with risk challenges.
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel (including VBA);
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
