Position Overview

As a Financing Solutions Manager within the Commercial & Private Wealth Management sector, you will collaborate closely with commercial account managers and various internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in credit management. This role is designed to positively influence both colleagues and clients through your extensive knowledge of commercial financing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit analyses in line with the established standards of the Credit Centre, providing well-founded recommendations.
  • Structure credit proposals by assessing risks and crafting financing scenarios that align with client requirements and the Bank's risk parameters.
  • Work in tandem with the Commercial Account Manager to ascertain client financing needs.
  • Engage in negotiations regarding credit terms with Credit Risk Management, ensuring the availability of financing for the Commercial Account Manager.
  • Gather feedback from Account Managers on initial credit application drafts, refine them as necessary, and present them to the Regional Vice-President for approval before submission to Credit Risk Management.
  • Generate documentation and update client records in collaboration with account representatives and Credit Risk Management to facilitate efficient processing of credit applications.
  • Serve as a resource for your team on credit-related issues and assist in the professional development of team members in this domain.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with sector activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience, OR a master's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity to collaborate effectively with partners and provide sound recommendations.
