Your contributions as a Senior Director:

STG specializes in high-efficiency computing software and consulting services tailored for financial intermediaries, particularly within the insurance sector. Our advanced software platform, PathWise, empowers organizations to effortlessly model financial obligations without complex coding, utilizing Graphical Processing Units (GPU) for unparalleled speed and efficiency in the insurance market. Our consulting services focus on actuarial analysis, reinsurance modeling, hedging program reviews, and the modeling of insurance liabilities and financial assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Services:

  1. Create and maintain actuarial liability models that incorporate intricate insurance product features and execute reserve and capital calculations per regulatory standards.
  2. Design and oversee financial asset models to facilitate balance sheet projections for financial institutions.
  3. Construct and sustain Economic Scenario Generators for asset and liability valuation.
  4. Enhance robust processes for insurance companies, including valuation, pricing, hedging, and asset liability management.
  5. Contribute to the expansion of PathWise functionalities as needed or requested by clients.

Onboarding Services:

  1. Assist in developing models and processes for companies transitioning to PathWise.
  2. Provide comprehensive training for PathWise users.
  3. Create standalone training materials for PathWise users.
  4. Identify gaps in company processes and recommend enhancements.
  5. Resolve issues during PathWise migrations, ensuring a positive initial user experience.

Business Development Support:

  1. Engage in demonstrations for prospective clients.
  2. Participate in industry, academic, and internal research initiatives.
  3. Develop and present insights on emerging issues in the insurance and financial services sectors.
  4. Attend industry conferences and client events.

Qualifications for Success:

  1. Over 5 years of experience in the life insurance sector focusing on pricing, hedging, valuation, and asset liability management.
  2. In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian reserves and capital requirements for life insurance products, including indexed and variable annuities, universal life, and traditional life insurance.
  3. Familiarity with the assessment of embedded guarantees in life insurance products.
  4. Understanding of financial assets, including derivatives.
  5. Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and SOLID principles, with a preference for Python experience.
  6. Actively pursuing fellowship with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries, focusing on life and annuities is preferred.
  7. Excellent communication skills for extensive team and client interactions.
