Technical Writer/Editor

CAE is seeking a skilled Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. As a key member of our curriculum support team, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documents for commercial, business, and helicopter aviation.
Key Responsibilities- Editing, formatting, and assembling proposals and other technical documents
- Proofreading documents returned from word processing and supervising assembly of documents by print room
- Collaborating with instructors, media developers, instructional designers, and courseware developers to create content for mid-users and end-users
- Developing descriptive and operational procedures to support pilot and maintenance training
- Ensuring content follows a logical progression of material depth and meets the requirements of the documentation type
- Reviewing and editing content produced by other team members to ensure consistency and quality
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, communications, or English language, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in Aviation/Aerospace domain
- Critical thinking ability to interpret engineering documents and illustrations
- Experience in publications software, including Microsoft Word, Adobe Framemaker/InDesign
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate in clear and concise industry-standard language, both written and verbal
