Job Title: Editor, Business

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor, Business to join our team at Kitco Metals. As an Editor, Business, you will be responsible for evaluating the suitability of material for publication, detecting and correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, and planning coverage of upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate suitability of material for publication, broadcast, or publication on the Internet
  • Detect and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax
  • Shorten or lengthen copy
  • Plan coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly
  • Confer with authors, staff writers, reporters, and others regarding revisions to copy
  • Plan and co-ordinate activities of staff and assure production deadlines are met
  • Write or prepare introductions, marketing, and promotional materials, bibliographic references, indexes, and other text
Requirements:
  • Editors Association of Canada membership
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
