Job Summary

Omega Project Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Process Unit Operator to join our team in Christina Lake, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our process units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control process conditions to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Identify and troubleshoot abnormal operational events, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Support maintenance schedules by preparing equipment for scheduled work.
  • Develop and review procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Complete and review electronic log entries to ensure accurate records.
  • Conduct regular walk-arounds and participate in formal safety audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform regulatory compliance checks and reporting requirements.
  • Support commissioning and start-up of new equipment and processes as required.
  • Contribute to a work environment that supports a motivated and productive team.
  • Escalate issues that require higher authority for input and resolution.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of operating experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Relevant industry experience is an asset.
  • Preference for Fourth Class Certificate with progression towards Third or Second Class Steam Certification.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (driver's abstract required).

Working Conditions

This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
