Omega Project Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Unit Specialist to join our team in Christina Lake, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our process units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control process conditions to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Support maintenance schedules and prepare equipment for scheduled work
  • Develop and review procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Complete and review electronic log entries to ensure accurate records
  • Conduct regular walk-arounds and participate in formal safety audits to ensure a safe working environment
  • Perform regulatory compliance checks and reporting requirements
  • Support commissioning and start-up of new equipment and processes as required
  • Contribute to a work environment that supports a motivated and productive team
  • Escalate issues that require higher authority for input and resolution
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of operating experience in a process unit environment
  • Relevant industry experience is an asset
  • Preference for Fourth Class Certificate with progression towards Third or Second Class Steam Certification
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (driver's abstract required)
