Job Summary

As a key member of our swine production team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintaining livestock performance records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed to maintain a healthy and secure work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date livestock performance records to inform production decisions.
  • Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs to optimize production and quality.
  • Perform general farm duties as required, including maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in swine production or a related field.
  • College/CEGEP education in a relevant field, such as agriculture or animal science.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a physically demanding workload.
