POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Culinary Services Supervisor at Dexterra, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality food service and hospitality. Reporting directly to the Chef Manager, your role encompasses a wide range of culinary preparation, presentation, and customer engagement tasks within our food service operations. This position demands a background in food preparation, exceptional customer service abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Red Seal Chef/Kitchen Manager to enhance your culinary skills, including menu development, nutritional management, food procurement, and adherence to kitchen safety protocols.
  • Prepare food items and take ownership of tasks associated with designated service stations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during food preparation, which includes:
    • Utilizing proper techniques with tools, supplies, and equipment (e.g., knives, ovens, cleaning agents).
    • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., non-slip footwear, cut-resistant gloves).
    • Following FoodSafe standards, including documenting time-sensitive food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work environment, including the kitchen and dining areas, and manage dishwashing duties.
  • Act as a representative of goodwill, ethics, and strong client relations on behalf of Dexterra.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently, fostering an atmosphere that promotes healthy, delicious, and enjoyable culinary experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in food service within the hospitality sector.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification is advantageous.
  • First Aid Certification is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor and punctuality are required.
  • Quick learner with the ability to follow directions and work autonomously.
  • Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Background Check.
