POSITION SUMMARY
As a Culinary Services Leader at Dexterra Group, you will be responsible for a range of food preparation, presentation, and customer service tasks within our food service operations. This role demands prior culinary experience, outstanding customer service abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment. You will also engage in training opportunities aimed at professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to enhance your culinary skills, including menu development, nutritional analysis, food procurement, and compliance with kitchen safety protocols.
- Prepare menu items and take ownership of various tasks associated with your designated service area.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while preparing food, which includes: Utilizing proper techniques with tools and equipment (e.g., knives, ovens, cleaning supplies). Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., non-slip footwear, cut-resistant gloves). Adhering to FoodSafe standards, including documentation of temperature-sensitive food items.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including kitchen equipment and dining areas. Clean dishes and utensils either manually or using a dishwasher.
- Represent Dexterra Group with professionalism, ethics, and excellent client relations at all times.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently, fostering an environment that promotes enjoyable, nutritious, and engaging culinary experiences.
Candidate Profile:
WHAT WE SEEK:
- Experience in food service within the hospitality sector.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Records and Judicial Matters check.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude.
- Safe Food Handling Certification is advantageous.
- First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Professional demeanor and punctuality are required.
- Quick learner with the ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Candidates must successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Background Check.
