CDI is seeking a Project Coordinator to be based in our operational hub. This role entails the coordination, allocation, and daily management of site construction teams and equipment. You will support project execution teams and collaborate closely to ensure that field staffing aligns with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support construction Project Managers and Superintendents with daily operational and site tasks Participate in morning safety briefings, along with weekly and monthly site evaluations Develop AutoCAD drawings for specific work plans and staging diagrams Prepare sketches and illustrations to assist construction activities as necessary Aid the Project Manager and Superintendent in the daily administrative functions of the project Attend meetings with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors to ascertain project needs, scheduling, and progress tracking Assist in analyzing plans and specifications to provide clear, traceable, and coordinated interpretations of designs for construction. Complete and submit work orders and invoices Maintain daily crew timesheets and assist with their review and formal submission Prepare and submit purchase order requests Maintain regular communication with foremen and superintendents Update project schedules, logs, and inspection reports Coordinate rental equipment management (returns, damages, invoices, and billing) Oversee contract management and scope of work, identify changes, and assist the Project Manager with change management Communicate relevant project information effectively and accurately to clients and project teams Assist with site activities, including quality control for concrete pours, completing QA/QC checklists, and maintaining a daily photo log of site activities Investigate and propose solutions to design document issues, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions. Monitor fieldwork, including contracted work, to ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes. Engage in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documentation. Assist in researching and preparing field change requests to address design challenges. Conduct quality control activities as per guidelines, using specified measuring and testing equipment. Understand and execute document control functions in accordance with on-site policies and procedures, including tracking and creating RFIs, managing submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists. Position oneself as a candidate for advancement by acquiring knowledge of construction methods and developing effective construction management skills. Ensure that site safety protocols meet or exceed the standards set by the corporate safety manual and relevant authorities Foster a positive safety culture with a goal of zero incidents Familiarize oneself with the responsibilities outlined in the Construction Drilling Health and Safety ManualRequired Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in engineering or engineering technology (civil or geotechnical), or construction management with 0-3 years of experience in the construction industry Strong communication skills Proficient in MS Office applications AutoCAD proficiency preferred Strong work ethic and eagerness to learnThe typical salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and other criteria.
