About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our Feeding Futures team at School District #36. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective business operations of our food preparation and delivery programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the department's financial health and compliance with district policies.
  • Design and implement efficient systems and processes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Feeding Futures - Food and Nutrition to develop and implement technologically advanced systems to enhance operations, including point-of-sale systems, inventory tracking, and revenue and expense tracking.
  • Manage and develop human resources in a multi-union environment, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing, HR, risk, audit, regulatory, and licensing standards, as well as food safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Oversee the daily activities of support services to ensure a high standard of product and service in compliance with legislative and regulatory acts governing food and nutrition services in schools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as commerce, business administration, hospitality, or hotel management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a large-scale business function, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Completion of Level I Food Safe Certificate.
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
