About the Role

Lafarge Africa Plc is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality concrete to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Ready Mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and services, including product knowledge and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Ready Mix Driver experience or in a related field preferred.
  • Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver's abstract required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks on electronic devices such as tablets.
  • Relationship-building skills with external customers and internal Lafarge personnel.
