Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Trials Nurse Coordinator to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our Clinical Trials Team, you will play a critical role in planning and implementing clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Coordinate the treatment programs of clinical trial patients, working collaboratively with other members of the Clinical Trials Team to ensure seamless care.
  • Coordinate Clinical Trials: Participate in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of clinical trials protocols, reviewing and commenting on consent forms and providing input on resource impact and patient care issues.
  • Monitor and Assess Patient Progress: Monitor, assess, document, and report to the Principal Investigator and sponsor as appropriate and at required intervals the patient's response to and compliance with the protocol.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM). Two (2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Oncology Nurse Certification and Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Clinical Research Associate/Coordinator Certification are preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Relevant clinical research knowledge, ability to deal with others effectively, interpersonal skills, ability to organize work and set priorities, and ability to work independently.
