Clinical Trials Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting the clinical trials team by coordinating appointments, processing clinician orders, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate appointments and diagnostic tests for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Process clinician orders, including requisitions for tests or services, and communicate with patients and healthcare teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information and medical history.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare teams, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the clinical trials team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and research activities.
- Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program, plus one year's recent, related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to keyboard 40 w.p.m.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to utilize a variety of computer software applications.
