Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Deli Clerk to join our team at Safeway. As a Deli Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional food shopping experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold food items, including sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Operating commercial power equipment, such as slicers, fryers, and ovens
- Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries
- Processing cash register payments and handling customer transactions
- Receiving and rotating product, as well as filling product showcases
As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Upholding and complying with company procedures, standards, and policies
- Greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner
- Demonstrating superior customer service skills
