Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Host at the MLSE Culinary team. As a Host, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and Greet Guests: Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, ensuring they feel valued and respected.
  • Manage Reservations and Seating: Review and take reservations accurately, and work with the Service Manager to prepare and organize seating plans.
  • Present and Maintain Menus: Ensure all menus and wine lists are clean and tidy prior to the start of each shift, and present menus to guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Communicate with the Team: Communicate any special requests to Servers and Bussers, and work with the Service Manager to maximize the capacity of the dining room.
  • Adhere to MLSE Service Standards: Follow all MLSE service standards and policies, and adhere to MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Smart Serve Certification: Must have Smart Serve certification.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is required.
  • Cash Handling: Previous cash handling responsibilities are an asset.
  • Pressure Management: Must be able to work well under pressure, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
