Job Title: Telecommunications Systems Installer

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Systems Installer to join our team at TDX Infrastructure Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test trunking systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Analyze test results and make adjustments as needed to switching systems, networks, and associated equipment and software
  • Install and connect cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Support the integration of newcomers and refugees into the community, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training
  • Offer mentorship programs to pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees
  • Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth and offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities
  • Support Indigenous workers through mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, as well as facilitating access to Elders for guidance and support
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Will train
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
