Job Summary:

CA007 Mercer (Canada) Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice on pension plans, savings plans, taxation, and employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate projects related to pension plans, savings plans, and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain pension, savings plans, and employee benefit documents, including policies, procedures, and communications.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify solutions for retirement savings and employee benefits, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with legal updates and participate in training activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team with legal and tax professionals to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • JD or LL.B degree and called to the Bar in Canada.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pension and employee benefit law, with a strong understanding of taxation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual in French (verbal and written) and English.
