About The Opportunity

LRO Staffing is currently representing a reputable General Contracting Company that is searching for a Senior Legal Advisor with expertise in contract negotiation and collaborative contract models to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert legal guidance and support, particularly in navigating major project contracts within the collaborative contract model.
  2. Advise on contract negotiation and drafting, risk management, dispute resolution, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Work with functional and project pursuit teams and leaders to communicate and implement risk management tools and assess and manage project risks.
  4. Support the company's corporate structure and major project obligations to drive growth and success.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. A current license to practice law in Ontario and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  2. 5+ years of post-call experience at a well-respected law firm or in-house construction legal department.
  3. Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills in complex and at times adversarial situations.
  4. Sound judgement and legal reasoning, excellent analytical skills, and creativity in solving problems.
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop strategies to succeed, present a clear plan to the client, and communicate instructions rigorously and precisely.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of major project contracts and collaborative contract models, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
