The Campbellton Regional Community (CRC) is seeking an exceptional leader to fill the vital role of Manager/Superintendent of Municipal Water Distribution and Treatment Service.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure service delivery: Manage water treatment, distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment.
- Oversee complex systems: Ensure the proper functioning of the wastewater treatment plant, lagoon, and pumping stations for the wastewater network. Ensure the water treatment plant, wells, and reservoirs are properly functioning in the potable water network.
- Lead and manage a team: Supervise a team of 9 operators and a foreman, managing an annual operating budget of $4 million and a capital investment budget between $5 million and $10 million over the next five years.
- Manage resources: Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and other necessary resources to provide quality services and maintain the integrity of systems.
- Prepare and manage budgets: Develop and administer operating and capital budgets.
- Coordinate interventions: Supervise interventions by contractors and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Handle requests and complaints: Address user requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
The ideal candidate for this position is known for their technical expertise and leadership skills. They have a proven track record of effectively leading teams and managing complex projects while delivering high-quality services.
The candidate should possess extensive experience in similar roles, demonstrating strong abilities in employee management, budgeting, operations management, and regulatory compliance.
They should be fluent in Canada's official languages and hold a relevant post-secondary degree, supported by practical experience in complex operational settings.
The management style should be inclusive and collaborative, which helps inspire and motivate the team while promoting a work environment centered on excellence.
