About the Role

Maison Notre-Dame House Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Worker to join our team. As a key member of our community support team, you will provide essential services to individuals and families in need, promoting their well-being and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and case histories for clients
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' needs and concerns
  • Assess clients' eligibility for specific services and provide recommendations for support
  • Implement life skills workshops and provide education on topics such as crisis intervention and conflict resolution
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support services
  • Manage program statistics and maintain accurate records for evaluation and research purposes
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology)
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as women, children, and individuals with mental health concerns
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and community partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to client-centered practice
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
