Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor the operation of the wastewater treatment plant and related systems
- Inspect and maintain equipment, monitoring operating conditions and adjusting wastewater flow as needed
- Collect and test samples to ensure they meet standards
- Record test results, manage supplies, and participate in emergency protocol planning
- Prepare operational reports and respond to public complaints
Requirements:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing abilities
- A reputation for maintaining good relationships with colleagues and clients, excelling in an environment that requires patience, kindness, attention to detail, and multitasking
- Relevant experiences related to this type of work
- A proficiency in using computer software
- A post-secondary degree in a related field or a combination of experience in a relevant field and a high school diploma
