Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Intake Team to effectively manage high-risk investigations.
  • Conduct joint inquiries and home assessments alongside law enforcement officials.
  • Interview and evaluate involved individuals to develop safety and treatment strategies.
  • Connect families with essential support services to enhance their well-being.
  • Coordinate legal obligations and provide testimony during court proceedings.
  • Prepare families for the transition of services and participate in transfer discussions.
  • Engage with First Nation Communities to address intricate issues.
  • Oversee high-risk cases with a focus on proactive intervention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required.
  • Offer supervisory support within the department when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work with a minimum of 5 years in Child Welfare.
  • Forensic experience in a demanding environment.
  • Familiarity with First Nations families and current legislative frameworks.
