Your Responsibilities
As the Milling Operations Supervisor, you will oversee flour production processes within the facility, ensuring efficient operation of machinery and equipment. You will lead a team of unionized operators in the continuous production and distribution of flour.
Key Duties Include:
- Supervising and guiding the milling team in the operation of machinery to achieve target flour extraction while adhering to quality standards.
- Maintaining optimal mill performance and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Managing production schedules and adjusting as necessary to meet delivery commitments.
- Monitoring equipment conditions and maintaining a list of necessary repairs.
- Completing inspection reports and work orders with accuracy.
- Conducting troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Facilitating communication among team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- Overseeing sanitation tasks in accordance with established schedules.
- Reporting any incidents related to food safety or product quality.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
- Promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications Required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in milling operations.
- A certificate or diploma in flour milling is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Willingness to travel for training purposes.
