Chassis Steering Systems Engineer

As a Chassis Steering Engineer at Segula Technologies, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of new Steering Systems. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, design methodologies, and project management techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Drive quality improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement initiatives for Steering Systems.
- Communicate technical product status to management and stakeholders.
- Manage program development and provide status reports, issue tracking, and recovery plans.
- Utilize clear and effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of Chassis components, specifically electric steering systems (EPS) and steering system components.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or ABET equivalent).
- 2+ years of engineering development and production release in steering systems OR 3-5 years engineering development experience in suspension systems or overall Chassis (components or systems).
- 5 years of steering specific experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated passion to work in the automotive industry with experience in component and system design, development, and validation.
- Validation skills and experience with setting up and testing of structural components.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to perform basic design activities in NX/Teamcenter related to vehicle packaging and design of components.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for occasional travel and testing purposes.
- Canadian citizenship or ability to work in the USA required for frequent travel to the USA.
