About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tour Guide to join our team at Splendid Canada Travel. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of tourists on guided tours of Canada's most beautiful cities, landmarks, and attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm Transportation and Accommodation Arrangements: Ensure that all transportation and accommodation arrangements are in place for our clients.
  • Collect Fees and Payments: Collect administration or entrance fees from clients as required.
  • Coordinate Recreation Activities: Coordinate recreation activities and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made.
  • Provide Information and Answer Questions: Provide information and answer questions about points of interest, history, and culture.
  • Resolve Itinerary and Other Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise during the tour, such as changes in the itinerary or other problems.
  • Ensure Luggage Transfers: Ensure that luggage is transferred safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with Check-in Procedures: Assist clients with check-in procedures for accommodation and/or transportation.
  • Use Communication Devices: Use microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors.
  • Attend to International Border Crossings: Attend to international border crossings as required.
  • Coordinate with Local Guides: Coordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups.
  • Provide Information on Customs and Details: Provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details.
  • Assist with Special Needs: Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Conduct Guided Tours: Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical, heritage, and other sites.
  • Transport or Escort Clients: Transport or escort individuals or groups on tours of cities, waterways, and industrial and other establishments.
Tour Focus
  • Foreign Countries: Lead tours to foreign countries.
  • Sightseeing: Focus on sightseeing and exploring Canada's cities and landmarks.
  • Bus Tours: Lead bus tours of Canada's most beautiful cities and attractions.
Transportation and Travel Information
  • Willing to Travel: Willing to travel regularly and frequently.
  • Willing to Travel Cross-Border: Willing to travel cross-border as required.
  • Willing to Travel Overnight: Willing to travel overnight as required.
