About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Stonesedge Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Create innovative and delicious recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Train and instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Plan and execute menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Proven track record of maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
