The Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire program schedule, financial aspects, and scope of execution, in accordance with CMC Electronics' contractual and business commitments, as well as government regulations and administrative decisions.

Responsibilities as a Senior Program Manager

  • Responsible for finances, schedule, scope, and program execution. This may involve complex programs, multiple programs, or multi-site programs.
  • Lead and manage all program activities necessary to meet program commitments (internal and external) in collaboration with all functional managers.
  • Primary interface with the client during program execution.
  • Manage and report on program progress against client and internal deliverables (NRE and/or equipment), and take corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure all client dependencies are provided in a timely manner for program execution.
  • Responsible for leading and updating the program schedule.
  • Plan programs with the necessary timeframe to execute engineering and corresponding operations efficiently.
  • Ensure program implementation aligns with product line objectives.
  • Coordinate with operations/production the execution of programs and material deliverables: establish SOA based on forecasts.
  • Obtain and maintain work authorizations (WA) and required forms for the program.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and report any issues to senior management.
  • Support contract negotiations.
  • Participate in proposals and lead them, if necessary.
  • May be required to lead and coordinate aspects of estimating a proposal, including but not limited to technical estimates, subcontracting contracts, factory costs, and purchased parts (BOP).
  • Participate in mentoring and managing program managers.
  • Provide comments and recommendations to the program director on program management processes and governance.

Requirements to Join Our Team

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent minimum.
  • Member of the OIQ, MBA would be an asset.
  • PMP accreditation would be an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the development, production, or support of complex avionics or electronic systems integrated systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning and executing complex projects/programs.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent writing skills to ensure interface with internal/external support groups.
  • Ability to organize, implement, and evaluate multidisciplinary activities in a complex environment.
  • Bilingualism (French/English), both orally and in writing.
