We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist (Masters) to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with Tier-3 Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master's degree in Psychology
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP)
- A minimum of two years' clinical experience working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions
- Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical supervision, learning, and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally informed, non-judgmental patient-centered care environment
- Demonstrated accountability and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain personal health
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
This is a permanent full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $49.05 per hour. Additionally, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
